Team Sum: Project Rocket Boosters
Project Rocket Boosters aims to improve the literacy rates of the lower primary children living in Chen Su Lan Methodist Children's Home, as we believe that it is important to future learning.
The children’s literacy levels are generally below the level expected of their age. Some of them have learning difficulties due to dyslexia, others may lack the interest in reading, resulting in a vicious cycle.
Therefore, Project Rocket Boosters will be curating and developing a curriculum based on the central theme of fun. We will be transforming a corner in their hall (Shaw Hall) into a living classroom and a learning lab with monthly-themed based exhibition, complemented with word bank posters, and implementing 'No Singlish rule'. Concurrently, the children will also be learning English in a fun way through a play (Alive, alive!).
We Are Stronger Together
We Are Stronger Together is first community service event to kick-off Youth Corps’ Inter-Generational Month.
Set in the lush greenery of Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, We Are Stronger Together will unify youths and seniors alike through different activities such as a fusion workout, intergenerational art and shared conversations, and aims to break down intergenerational barriers and promote understanding through these shared experiences. When the young and the young-at-heart come together, expect nostalgic twists and a modern touch on old school traditions. Join us for a fun day of mingling and befriending the seniors!
We Are Stronger Together is part of Youth Corps Singapore’s ‘Common Space for Common Good’ signature initiative.
A Walk to Remember (Official Launch)
‘A Walk to Remember’ will be officially launched this September!
Following the pilot run of ‘A Walk to Remember’ in June, this official launch is a larger scale community service event which involves 3 trails:
- Peeking into the Past
- Living in the Present
- Moving Towards the Future
Youth Corps Singapore has partnered with National Heritage Board (NHB) to create a series of ‘A Walk to Remember’ community service events to provide youths the opportunity to play the role of a ‘big brother/sister’ to children from diverse family backgrounds.
If you are passionate to volunteer with children and are keen to learn more about the Singapore story, come join us in this meaningful run of ‘A Walk to Remember’.
This event is part of Youth Corps Singapore’s ‘Common Space for Common Good’ signature initiative.

The Red Box
Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.
The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
